Multilevel inverters (MLI) play an important role in AC applications and are undergoing continuous development topology control. In higher levels inverters, conventional MLIs have high components count which calls for modification of these topologies to obtain the same number with fewer reduce cost size. Balancing capacitors voltages is crucial operation MLI it becomes more challenging levels. This paper presents active voltage balancing strategy a reduced switch five-leve asymmetric stacked multilevel inverter (ASMLI). The ASMLI uses than when used their five-levelconfiguration. proposed simple measurements logic assure balanced during steady state transients. performance was examined compared based on two modulation techniques LCL filter RL load using MATLAB/Simulink. results show that can trace all reference value simultaneously less 1% error, fast dynamic response, acceptable total harmonic distortion (THD) allows setup be available option medium applications.<br /><div> </div>
